We had a major kitchen remodeling project done in the Summer of 2024. This involved the removal and installation of tile flooring (replaced with wood), appliances, window, and cabinetry. There were numerous decisions to be made before and during the project. The best decision we made was selecting JOSCON as the contractor. Jon and his team exceeded our expectations. Not only was their workmanship topnotch but they exhibited an impressive degree of organization and coordination among the different subcontractors. They minimized the degree of disruption to our daily lives and worked with us and our schedules. Key to this was the frequent communication Jon had with us. He was clear and direct. We knew what items were being worked on when.

Jon uses a great tool, Buildertrend, which was accessible to us throughout the project. We could follow the progress of the project from beginning to end. We could see the workplan for future activities and the agreed upon timelines were met. This app also has a great financial section so you can see when payments are due well in advance. Change orders were clearly shown along with cost estimates and required our signed approval prior to initiation of that work. We did not experience any unexpected or unapproved charges. I attribute this to Jon’s clear communication and superb organizational skills. His experience in this field is evident and we benefited greatly from that.

Another factor that makes JOSCON stand out is the human element. The team was trustworthy, hardworking, dependable, helpful, and personable. Jon and his team lessened the stress and anxiety associated with such large projects. We were living through the project with a makeshift kitchen in the dining room. Jon and his team made sure that we were comfortable and made every attempt to minimize the disruption to our daily life. Jon was always available by cell phone to answer any questions or concerns that we had. We never had to chase him or be kept waiting for a response. Following the project, he remained available for any questions or follow up items.

The kitchen is beautiful, and we are very satisfied with the result. We made a great decision in hiring JOSCON and strongly recommend that you consider them for your project.
